Art studio «Temniy Soffit» in Kiev was founded in 2016 by a small creative team. This is a creative platform within which performances, theater evenings, master classes and lectures on art, acting classes for children and adults are held, and a cinema club operates.

Art studio «Temniy Soffit» challenges stereotypes. The team takes the liberty of proving that everyone who is armed with such qualities as responsibility, patience, perseverance and focus on results is capable of entering the stage. If you're ready to work on yourself, art experts can help you reach your creative heights. A team of professionals will provide support and training in everything you need to perform on stage. The goal of the project is that everyone who wants to realize themselves in the creative field can do it. That is why prices remain in the middle segment.

The theater is engaged in performances based on plays by contemporary domestic and foreign playwrights. The studio has its own small hall for 60 seats, where rehearsals, performances, and acting classes for children and adults are held directly. The theater troupe also performs at other locations, participates in various festivals and creative events.

Acting courses in the art studio «Temniy Soffit»

Art studio «Temniy Soffit» invites people with different levels of training, of any age and complexion to work in the troupe of the theater. For guests without stage experience, there is a permanent set for acting courses. The lectures and practical lessons of the studio will be useful not only for further theatrical activities, filming, casting, admission to the university, but also in everyday life.

The program of acting courses for adults is designed for 4 months and involves the study of theory, practice and oratory, staging of sketches and a graduation performance. During the courses, you will learn to be yourself, not be afraid to speak the truth, speak the language of the theater, turn your fears and complexes into strengths, master stage speech and proper breathing, get rid of muscle clamps, become contact and sociable. Confident in their theatrical vocation, talented actors will be able to become part of the team of the Dark Soffit Theater.

Acting courses for children in Kiev. Classes are held in a playful way twice a week for an hour and a half on a small stage. The course will teach children to be more confident, sociable and not afraid of the stage. From the very first lessons, the child will feel like a real actor. Acting courses will teach you how to speak beautifully, improvise, reincarnate and keep the image.

Children and adolescents will gain confidence in communicating with their peers, feel inner freedom, reveal their artistic abilities and broaden their horizons. Students of the art studio will participate in festivals and competitions with creative performances in Kiev and other cities of Ukraine.

Teachers

Elena Nevolko is a theater director, artistic director, stage director, actress and teacher of acting for adults. Elena is an art critic by education. For four years she worked as a director in an amateur theater, after which she founded her own theater studio. She has worked on staging more than ten different performances for small and large stages. She has staged a number of performances with people with disabilities. Over the years of work, she helped many people become more self-confident, thanks to her own method of teaching acting.

Alexander Volos is a technical director, assistant director, decorator, author of a number of plays and an actor.
